"EOCH Power Point Presentation at St. Anne Villa on June 20, 2009 A Wonderful Success!"
On Saturday, June 20th Kathy Ford Ludwig '74 gave her EOCH Power Point Presentation to the Sisters of Charity who now reside at St. Anne Villa in Convent Station. Sister Eileen Bradshaw introduced the program and told the Sisters about our organization and our scholarship program. Kathy Ludwig's son Andrew acted as projectionist and photographer. Charlotte Cikowski '64 distributed copies of the most recent newsletter and helped with the cookies, napkins and soda prepared by the Villa staff.
The Sisters were a delightful group and many memories were shared! Among the Sisters attending the show were two former teachers at EOCH, Sr. Joseph Marie McManus and Sr. Regina Coll. Many of the Sisters commented that they had a great time watching the slides, and listening to the "lively music of the era" accompaniment. Sr. Joseph found her picture on the screen from a trip she organized to the Bronx Zoo way back in the 1960's.
The new and
improved Villa is a wonderful retirement home for the Sisters who served so
many of our schools and hospitals.
We were given tours to see the great garden area, the bright and
beautiful rooms and of course the chapel.
Each Sister has her own mini kitchenette area, a spacious bathroom and a
sitting area/bed room. Several of
us remarked that we wouldn't mind living there ourselves! If you are in the area, you might want to stop in for a
visit!
