Barbara Tobia Armstrong, who lives in Milwaukee, WI, married Tim McElhatton last May. They met, Barbara writes, on a blind date that "changed my life. We share the same values and passions, including travel, family, and urban living." This is Tim's first marriage and Barbara's second (she was widowed at age 20). Tim is a Research Analyst with the Milwaukee public schools. Barbara and Tim spent their honeymoon in Venice, Italy, a "magical city of romance," she writes, and returned to the US via New Jersey ("another place of magic") to celebrate with their family. The newlyweds recently bought and updated a 1923 brick bungalow in an old Milwaukee neighborhood. Barbara writes that their door is always open to old classmates: "We love visitors and have plenty of room so feel free!" Kathy Yates has been building up her practice as a Feldenkrais practitioner, which involves movement re-education for those with pain, chronic or otherwise, as well as with those who want to improve their performance. She writes that she utilizes this approach as a volunteer with those directly affected by the September 11th attack, including rescue workers. Kathy lives in New York City. Ann Burke Nunez is a self-employed accountant and lives in Clayton, CA. She and her husband, Raul Nunez a manager for Chevron Oil, have been married for 28 years. Their daughter, Megan (27), graduated from Smith College in 1996 and received a Ph.D. in Chemistry last year from the California Institute of Technology. Their son, David (23) graduated from Grinnel College in Iowa and now lives in Portland OR, where he works in publishing and (Ann reports) wants to be a writer. She and her husband garden, hike and travel in their spare time. Last summer, they toured the Mayan ruins in Mexico. Diana Cerrato Sefchik and husband Gary celebrated their 25th anniversary by taking a trip to New Zealand in April 2001. They toured the major cities of South Island and spent 4 days with Diana's pen pal, with whom she has corresponded since 5th grade in Our Lady of Lourdes School, West Orange, NJ. The Sefchiks live in Whitehouse Station, NJ. Meg Behrens Brown, who lives in Herndon, VA, is a teacher and the owner of a Montessori School in northern Virginia. She writes that quilting is a favorite pastime. She and her husband, Jim, have three children: Emily, 18, a freshman at Xavier University, Cincinnati; Chris, 16; and Hannah, 13. Maureen Baillie Rogers and her husband Jim (Bucko, the son of EOCH faculty member Mrs. Marie Rogers) recently moved to Newport Beach, CA, when Jim was re-located by his company, Verizon Wireless. Maureen has made a career change, too. She writes, "I've gone from owning a business as an optician in New Jersey to pursuing a career as a scuba diving instructor in California." Debbie Freda Gallo lives in Wall Township, NJ, with her husband, John, and their 11-year-old daughter, Gianna, a sixth-grader at Wall Intermediate School. John retired seven years ago as a lieutenant with the New York Police Department after working in law enforcement for 20 years. Debbie continues to work as a visiting nurse with the VNA of Central Jersey. She writes that she enjoys "the newsletter and hearing about old and new friends who have relocated to the shore, too." Pamela Odgers Micchelli is celebrating her 25th year as an RN at St. Barnabas Medical Center. She and her husband, Kevin, have been married for 21 years and live in Meyersville, NJ. Pamela enjoys gardening and painting. Martha Zazzarino, who lives in Wilmington, DE, writes: "I finally visited Europe for the first time in 2000. My trip was a pilgrimage to Rome for the Jubilee Year with my pastor and bishop. It was a experience I will never forget." She also visited Ireland last year.

Phyllis Lombardi Wooster and her husband, Gary,
live in Rockaway, NJ, with their two sons, Eric, 15 years old, and Jason,
9 years old. Nancy Manzella Minneci has been a teacher for 25 years
in the Essex County Vocational Schools. She and her husband Joe have two
sons, Joe, 14 and Rich, 12 and live in Union, NJ. Nancy enjoys traveling
and watching her sons play school soccer and basketball. Andrea Pitrelli
Thayer lives in Florham Park, NJ, with her husband, Richard, and two daughters,
Lauren (19) and Suzanne (13). Andrea has been with the Parsippany-Troy
Hills school district for 25 years, 20 spent as a special education teacher
and the last five as a reading specialist. Richard is a manager in the
Newton Social Security office, older daughter Lauren is a sophomore theater
arts major at Rowan University, and Suzanne is an 8th grader in middle
school. Andrea enjoys traveling, reading and browsing in flea markets and
antique shops. She writes that she hopes "the Class of 1971 gets a big
turnout for our 30th reunion!"
