Spring 2002

Lynda Smith Shand is a Professor of Nursing at the College of New Rochelle, in New Rochelle, NY. Lynda and her husband, Scott, met at Seton Hall University, were married in 1973 and live in Yorktown, NY. Their daughter, Alyson (21), is a senior at Penn State University, and their son, Christopher (18), is a freshman at the University of Michigan. Lynda enjoys hiking, camping, gardening and the Yankee. Roseann Foley Casey is the proud mother of 18 year old son Christopher, a freshman at Rider University, and 16 year old daughter Colleen, a junior at Woodbridge High School. Roseann lives in Edison, NJ, and is the Office Manager of an engineering and environmental firm. She is a volunteer speaker at IDRC, Middlesex County. She writes that her hobbies include writing, poetry and hiking. Patricia Baillie Riley, who lives in Plainsboro, NJ, writes that she is still working at the Medical Center in Princeton, but now serves as the medical center's Office Coordinator for Volunteer Services. Mary Ann Lynch retired last year after a 25-year career as an educational media specialist with the Essex County Vocational Schools. She writes that she and her husband, Bob Sheedy (who retired as a Lieutenant with the Newark Police Department after 35 years on the job) recently moved to a home on a lagoon in the Sunrise Beach section of Forked River, NJ. Their current interests include "cruising on our 40-foot boat, Chieftan." Ellen Williams, who lives in Freehold, NJ, writes: "In past EOCH reunions, I have had the joy of seeing some of my former English students. I taught 9-1, 9-2, 10-4 and 10-5 Englsih from 1975 until 1976, filling in for Sr. Frances Johannes, who was on sabbatical, It was a real joy for me to teach next door to Sr. Grace Anthony, who was my inspiration to become an English teacher." Mary Novellino Peck is the main office secretary at Toms River High School North. She has two sons and a daughter, ages 22, 20 and 18, and lives in Toms River, NJ.

Fall 2001

Theresa Cassidy, who lives in Vancouver, WA, is the Assistant Superintendent for Student Learning in the Vancouver School District. Prior to working in Washington for the past three years, she worked for 13 years in Montana and nine years in Oregon. Theresa has two daughters, Dawn (22) and Cassidy (18); Nina Mulcahy Anuario is Vice-President of Oceanfirst Bank. She and husband, Tommy, have two sons, Sal and Jimmy, and live in Jackson, NJ. Nina is President of the Ocean County Vocational School. Her hobbies include golfing and bowling. Dawn Coburn Joy is married and has 3 children: Nicole, 26; Veronica, 12, and Gregory, 8. She is President of Coburn Consulting and Resources Leadership/Management/Health Care Consulting. She enjoys playing golf and lives in Erie, PA. Ellen Williams was promoted to Associate Professor at Rutgers University, receiving tenure as 4-H Youth Development Agent for Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Monmouth County. Ellen lives in Freehold, NJ. Her leisure interests include a cabaret class in New York City, playing the Irish drum (bodhran) and singing Irish music.
