Janet Dunsmuir Walsh, a special education teacher since 1972, currently teaches math, computer applications and human relations at Morris Knolls High School in Denville. She has developed and taught technology-based classes to special education students and disabled adults. Her son, Gabriel (26), is a graduate of SUNY Purchase with a degree in Film and Cinematography. He currently works for Legos America.com, designing toys and web sites. Her daughter, Erica Ann (23), will graduate from Washington University, St. Louis with a double major in English and Psychology. Janet lives in Wharton, NJ. Maria Cammarano Doherty has been married for 31 years to John, who is a vice president for the Bank of New York. The Dohertys live in Wood-Ridge, NJ. Maria has been teaching third grade at Sacred Heart School for 14 years. She taught at St. Raphael¹s School in Livingston before her children were born. Today, her son, Chris, lives in Philadelphia is a business developer. Her older daughter, Missy, teaches fifth grade in Melrose, MA, and her younger daughter, Colleen, is an Assistant Marketing Manager for John Wiley Publishers in New York City.Nancy Ford Welch lives in Chatham, NJ, and is a teacher in the Chatham public school system. She and her husband, Jim, have a son, Patrick, a daughter, Meghan, and a grandson, Colin. Diane Izzo Rusnak has been a teacher in Union, NJ since 1969. She and her husband, John, live in Whitehouse Station, NJ, and have been married for 29 years. Their sons, John III (22) and Stephen (18), both attend Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana; John will graduate this December. Joyce Jaeckle Skurla has returned to the east coast after nine years overseas and thirteen years in Chicago. She currently works in New York City in career counseling and cross-cultural assessment. Divorced, she has a 25-year-old son Michael. Joyce writes that she "is glad to be back on the East coast, reconnecting" and enjoys "travel, languages, diversity, NYC and all it offers!" She says she is sorry that her son still lives in Chicago, "but he was raised a Midwesterner!"Kathryn Dughi Rendo is now retired and lives with her husband, Edward, in Singer Island, FL, and Sea Girt, NJ. She has one daughter, Deborah Semple, who lives in Los Angeles, CA; one son, John Rendo, who lives with his wife, Patti, in Glen Gardner, NJ; and one step-daughter, Ellen Enderly, who lives with her husband, Rich, and children Kathleen and Ryan in Bedminster, NJ. Kathy received her BS, MBA and JD degrees from Seton Hall University. Before retirement, she was the Vice President of Human Resources for Liz Claiborne, and the Sr. Vice Preisdent and General Counsel of the Leslie Fay Companies. Her hobbies now include tennis aerobics and reading. She writes that she would "love to hear about other members of the Class of 65!"

Barbara Shuttleworth White and her husband, Mitch, have two children, John (25) and JoAnn (23). JoAnn graduated from Baylor University and is currently a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines. Barbara is an Administrative Assistant for Deer Park ISD. She is also an Ambassador on the "Bridge", an organization that helps battered women. Her leisure interests include photography, sailing and travel. The Whites live in Houston, TX. . Cecilia Cunningham and her daughter, Lauren, 17, live in Brooklyn, NY. Cecilia has been Principal of Middle College High School in Queens, New York, for 20 years. She earned her doctorate from Columbia University Teachers College in new York City. Marie Milano Duane, who lives in Brielle, NJ, became a grandmother on October 12, 2000 with the birth of Kennedy Jean to her eldest child, Jennifer Miller.

Old News

Betty Ann Ritter Silverstein accepted early retirement from AT&T in 1998 after 32-1/2 years at the company and now works for an equipment manufacturing firm. She and her husband, Glenn, who still works for AT&T, were married in 1984 and live in Edison, NJ. Their future plans include moving to Cape Cod, where they purchased property last year.
